  • Prevention and Remedy:

Causes of food poisoning:

  • Milk and milk products: Food poisoning can usually be caused by certain foods. Firstly, milk and other milk products. If milk is not boiled properly, bacteria remain in it. As a result, food poisoning can occur.
  • Cooked meat: Raw meat is relatively safer than cooked meat. If raw meat is well packed and kept in the fridge, it can stay good for up to 15 days. Cooked meat cannot be kept in the refrigerator for a long time, it spoils. Eating that meat is sure to cause food poisoning, even though it looks the same.
  •  Green fruits or vegetables: Cut fruits or vegetables can spoil if left open for a long time. In addition, pesticides are sprayed on fruits and vegetables, which do not completely wash off with water and harm the body.
  • Frozen foods: Bottled, especially canned, frozen or baked foods are prone to contamination if not stored or baked properly.

Organism involved in food poisoning:

Some Common Foodborne Germs are-

  • Salmonella
  • Clostridium perfringens
  • Campylobacter
  • Staphylococcus aureus (Staph).

Disadvantages caused by food poisoning:

Food poisoning causes repeated vomiting. No food stays in the stomach. Diarrhea, frequent trips to the bathroom. Dehydration is seen. Feeling tired, not motivated to do anything. Sometimes there is fever. The temperature is high enough.

Prevention and Remedy:

There are some precautions we can take to prevent food poisoning, such as ensuring that food is not contaminated in any way. Maintaining cleanliness is very important. It is absolutely inappropriate to eat without washing your hands thoroughly. Special care should be taken in case of children. Avoid eating open food. Dishes should be washed thoroughly while cooking. Be careful when storing food. Infection from water is very common. Do not drink that water without purifying it well. Regularly check home pipelines, keep water tank clean, at least once a week.

If you have food poisoning, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and feed your baby. Again, there is a high risk of dehydration due to the child’s vomiting and going to the bathroom. In that case saline feeding is mandatory. However, in this case, the best way is to see a doctor sooner rather than later.

When should you consult with your doctor:
